About Seville Aquarium
The Seville Aquarium or ‘Acuario de Sevilla’ is a fantastic aquarium that the whole family can enjoy. Home to more than 7000 creatures from over 400 different species, the aquarium is set up over eight different ecosystems, including:
- Guadalquivir: Home to sturgeon, carp and more.
- Atlantic: With colourful fish, prawns, octupus and more!
- Tropical Rainforest: Home to anacondas, iguanas, toads, turtles and more! The area is set up to recreate their natural living habitats so includes trees and healthy tropical vegetation as well as some inca ruins to add to the look!
- Rainforest: Home to piranhas, and a lot of people's favourite the axolotls, as well as mudskippers, the creature that can be on land or in water!
- Oceanarium: A huge tank with sharks, turtles, guitarfish and more!
- Indo-Pacific: Warn waters with corals, clownfish mandarin fish, boxfish and more!
- Jellyfish: The aquarium also has a great Jellyfish exhibition to enjoy made up of 15 tanks where you can see all sorts of different jellyfish species and watch them casually jellyfish around!
- African Savannah: An ecosystem naturally found between the jungle and the desert, so you can see tortoises, monitor lizards and more here.
The aqaurium is home to around 9 different species of sharks that are spread out over the various sections, so make sure you don't skip any! They feed the sharks in the main central tank (Oceanarium) Monday - Friday at 1:30PM, which can be fun to watch as well!
