The aquarium is spread across multiple levels with different habitats set up on each one ranging from the deep sea to tropical rainforests.

- Penguin Playground: The penguins are a firm favourite. SEA LIFE Melbourne has two penguin species, King Penguins and Gentoo Penguins. Come and watch them waddle around on their ice blanket and go for a swim in their pool.
- Ocean Invaders: An amazing new area where you can sit and be mesmerised by the gentle sway of the jellyfish. Walk through the jellyfish tunnel and watch the fascinating creatures drift gracefully overhead.
- Bay of Rays: The Bay of Rays is home to graceful rays, several shark species and a variety of colourful fish.
