About Schönbrunn Zoo
Schönbrunn Zoo (Vienna Zoo), holds the title as the world's oldest continuously operating zoo, having opened 1752! The zoo has also won the title of 'Europe's best zoo' on multiple occasions!
The zoo is home to around 600 different species covering the A-Z of the animal kingdom, from 'Anteaters' to 'Zebras' and lots in between, including some endangered species, so it’s a great place to enjoy on a family day out.
The zoo is in the grounds of the beautiful Schönbrunn Palace, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of the former homes of the Habsburg dynasty, so something for the parents to enjoy as well!
Renowned for its commitment to conservation and animal welfare, the zoo offers you a unique blend of history, architecture, and wildlife experiences at the same time! The zoo has a unique blend with a long history but also with modern enclosures that have been designed to mimic the animals natural habitats.
