About Puy du Fou España
Puy du Fou España is the Spanish version of the award-winning French historical theme park. Instead of rides and roller coasters, it focuses on spectacular live performances, immersive villages and historical storytelling, offering you a unique way to experience Spain's past.
The park features five themed villages, each recreating a different period of Spanish history:
- The Royal Village - Recreates the atmosphere of medieval Spain with stone streets, timber buildings and artisan workshops where traditional crafts such as pottery, embroidery and damascene metalwork are demonstrated.
- The Andalucian Askar - Inspired by medieval Al-Andalus, this area features elegant silk pavilions, traditional architecture and market stalls selling local food and handmade crafts.
- Villanueva del Corral - Recreates life during the Spanish Golden Age, with traditional streets, historic buildings and architecture inspired by the Habsburg period.
- La Venta de Isidro - A traditional rural village where you can sample local cheeses, olive oil and other regional produce while experiencing everyday Spanish country life.
- El Arrabel - Sits outside the castle walls and recreates a lively medieval marketplace filled with taverns, food stalls and street entertainment.
The villages combine artisan workshops, traditional restaurants and immersive scenery, allowing you to experience different periods of Spanish history. As you explore, you'll find medieval markets, Arab-inspired architecture and Renaissance-style streets brought to life through actors, craftspeople and historical details.
Puy du Fou España Gardens
Since opening in 2019, Puy du Fou España has planted more than 45,000 trees, flowers and shrubs to create landscaped gardens that provide habitats for local wildlife. Many of the horses, birds and other animals featured in the shows are also cared for within the park, and visitors can often see them outside the performances.
El Sueño de Toledo is a spectacular night-time performance held during the summer months. Around 200 actors recreate key moments from Spanish history using live action, music, dancing, special effects and fireworks on a purpose-built outdoor stage.
