About Heineken Experience

The Heineken Experience in Amsterdam is a fun, immersive and interactive museum which is dedicated to the history of the Heineken brand and its brewing process!

It’s situated in the former Heineken brewery, so it has plenty of authentic history and offers you a deep dive into the world of one of the most iconic beer brands globally.

The tour takes you on a journey through the company’s history, including the brewing process, and its worldwide success! It consists of four floors of interactive exhibits, historical artefacts, brewing simulations, and fun activities that engage all your senses.

You will learn about the origins of Heineken, which was founded in 1864 by Gerard Adriaan Heineken, and then its evolution into a global beer giant.

You will discover how Heineken is brewed, from water, hops, barley, and yeast to the final product. There's even a virtual brewing simulation where you can experience being "brewed" yourself!

You can also participate in interactive displays and games, such as testing your pouring skills in the "Perfect Pour" challenge!

See the famous Heineken draft horses in the stables, which were once used to deliver beer across the city.

At the end of the tour, you are of course treated to a tasting session where you can enjoy a fresh Heineken beer (or soft drink alternative), poured right in front of you, so you can quench your thirst from all that walking around the museum!
