What is Edge NYC?

Edge NYC is an observation deck and immersive attraction on the 100th floor of 30 Hudson Yards in New York City.

• It combines an indoor immersive experience with an outdoor observation deck.
• The outdoor deck has 360-degree views across New York City and the surrounding area.

Is Edge NYC Worth Visiting?

Edge is worth considering if you want to experience New York from a very high outdoor observation deck and also enjoy an indoor attraction.

• The outdoor deck is one of the main reasons many people come to Edge. Its glass floor and outward-angled glass walls provide views directly down towards the streets of Manhattan, while the open-air deck gives you a wide view across the city.
• The indoor experience adds more to the visit than a traditional observation deck, with a series of interactive installations exploring New York, light, sound and movement.

What You Can See at Edge NYC

The Edge Outdoor Observation Sky Deck provides panoramic views across Manhattan and beyond. Depending on visibility and weather conditions, you can see:

• The Empire State Building, One World Trade Center, the Chrysler Building, Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, the East River and its bridges, Brooklyn and Queens.
• The views change depending on the direction you look, with the Hudson River and New Jersey to the west and much of Manhattan visible to the east.
• Glass Floor: Stand on the glass floor and look directly down towards the streets of Manhattan.
• Angled Glass Walls: The glass panels lean outwards from the building, allowing you to look out and down over the city.
• Skyline Seats: Sit against the glass walls while looking across the New York skyline.
• Eastern Point: A small point at the eastern end of the deck provides another viewpoint over Manhattan.

The Indoor Immersive Experience was redesigned in 2026 and now includes seven immersive installations combining light, colour, sound, reflection and movement. Some of the main experiences include:

• PRISM: An introduction to Edge using changing colours, patterns and images of New York City.
• PULSE: An interactive installation featuring glowing orbs that respond to visitors' movements.
• SKYRISE: A cinematic elevator experience that simulates the journey 100 floors above Manhattan.
• REFLECTIONS: A large installation featuring spinning mirrored panels and changing light.
• KALEIDOSCOPE: A series of rooms filled with changing patterns, reflections and colours.
• CRYSTAL CAVE: A large crystal installation where light is reflected and scattered around the space.
• INFINITE CITY: A maze of illuminated columns inspired by New York's skyscrapers.

‍About Edge NYC

Edge NYC is part of Hudson Yards on Manhattan's West Side and occupies the 100th floor of 30 Hudson Yards. The observation deck extends 80 feet (24 metres) from the side of the building and has angled glass walls that lean outwards over the city. The Glass Floor provides a view directly down towards the streets more than 1,100 feet below.

The attraction also includes indoor areas with interactive and immersive experiences, giving visitors more to explore before and after visiting the outdoor observation deck.
