About 3 Houses of Gaudí

This ticket is a must for Gaudí lovers! Enjoy access to 3 of his most famous properties and 3 of Barcelona's most popular tourist attractions, Casa Batlló, Casa Milà - La Pedrera and Casa Vicens, all on one ticket!

Casa Batlló

Visit Casa Batlló, one of his most famous properties. Its nickname is the ‘House of Bones,’ due to it's façade, and the balconies that look like skeletons! Get a closer look at the iconic chimney pots which are decorated with Gaudí’s signature 'Trencadís' mosaics. See his use of bright colours! Casa Batlló is so captivating, you could easily lose track of time admiring it. Named after Josep Batlló who purchased it in 1903 and then commissioned Gaudí to redevelop it and Gaudi then went on to create what we all know and love now as Casa Batlló! With its bright colours on the front that instantly attract your eyes to the incredible architecture, the house will immediately grab your attention and make for a memorable experience.

What you can see at Casa Batlló

  • The outside of Casa Batlló
  • The inside of Casa Batlló
  • Gaudi's famous architectural designs
  • The famous roof terrace

Things to look out for at Casa Batlló

  • The Facade: One of its most famous features as you can see it from the front without evening entering is its incredibly colourful front facade, which is also covered in multiple balconies which are various different shapes and sizes, with some even taking on the appearance of warrior masks! The front facade will captivate you before your journey inside even begins!
  • Inside: Whether its the blend of shapes and textures, the materials used, or the lack of straight lines which you find in most homes, at each turn you will see something incredible.
  • Patio de Luces: The amazing central skylight that was created to distribute air and light throughout the property. Designed in shades of blue and white and with some stained glass thrown in for good measure (everything Gaudi did had purpose).
  • Noble Hall: Sitting at the heart of the house, the Noble Hall is a vast landing with access to various other rooms, including the Batlló study. The hall has beautiful woods, an elegant fireplace and a vast window overlooking Paseo de Gracia.
  • The Terrace: One of the most famous features of the house, the terrace with its dragon back is a popular stopping point on the tour. You can see the warrior chimney stacks and other creative designs that all compliment each other and help to create the design of the dragons back!

Casa Milà - La Pedrera

Next, you can enjoy a visit to Gaudi's 'La Pedrera', or to give it its official name, 'Casa Milà'. The property is known as 'La Pedrera' because it's façade looks similar to a rock-quarry, and that is the translation of 'La Pedrera' 'Stone Quarry'. Casa Milà - La Pedrera is named after the couple that commissioned Gaudí, Roser Segimon and her husband Pere 'Milà'. It was built as a block of apartments, with Milà & his wife living there as well and renting out the other apartments. Casa Milà was actually Gaudí's last private commission before he stopped to concentrate on the Sagrada Familia. You can even enjoy a coffee or snack in Café La Pedrera after your visit!

Casa Vicens remained a private residence until 2014 at which point it was purchased by Morabanc, an Andorran bank, who have lovingly restored it and opened it to the public for you to enjoy.
